PASTORS' PERSPECTIVES 18.1

We have our pastors share a bi-annual report of what the Lord is doing in their ministries.  These are the results of your investment into this ministry.  You can pray, donate, and/or participate in a short-term missions team.

There are a couple more pastos included who have been participating in our ministry and have asked to be part of our team.  Our focus is to Raise Up Leaders in Rural Mexico as we extend the Kingdom of God.  In one way or another, everyone is a leader.  So, it is important for all of us to understand the necessity of growing in the Lord and becoming faithful Disciples of Him.

All of these pastors can use financial support.  If you would like to sponsor one or more of them specifically, please let me know.  Otherwise, you can make a general donation here specifying the gift for "Pastors" and we will evenly distribute it.

It excites me to be able to share these reports with you as our ministry "La Cofradia United" continues to grow beyond our doors.

Here are the reports from the Pastors:

Pastor Gregorio Hernández
Lead Pastor of Centro Cristiano Cofradia
Cofradia, Nayarit

I would like to take this opportunity to focus on what has been happening in the church. I do not refer to membership growth, but rather to the perseverance of the body in growing into the likeness of Christ. The Freedom in Christ course has been an infulential tool in this growth. I refer to it as a tool because we know that freedom is only availble to us in Christ, and knowledge of that has had a powerful impact in Cofradía because it has helped us to acknowledge our own responsibliity and as well as to see the need in others.

All of the leaders and congregants who have taken the course have told us they “feel as light as a feather” or “as if a great weight has been lifted” from their shoulders. And such has been the fruit of this course.  As we understand more deeply who we truly are in Christ, the more fruit we bear in Him.  Now we understand that we are not called to produce the fruit but are called to bear it.

In the last couple of months we have seen one of our brothers be healed after being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.  He was so ill he could not even get up and walk.  After having prayed for him, the Lord healed him and now he can walk without the aid of a cane!  His improvement continues and we are doing the Freedom in Christ coursework with him.  He and I spend time regularly going go up and down the streets praying for people.  Yes, we use the truck for this, but the point is that he is now ready and willing to do it!  And I am asking that you pray for him, that he would continue to live a life of freedom that bears much fruit.

I also want to share with you that we have begun visiting the town of Arrayanes again.  We have been going on Friday, and although we have seen very little response, in the last three weeks, more people have been coming to our gatherings than when we began. On June 30 we will conduct an evangelism event there, complete with home visitations, passing out pamphlets, musical worship, and a message.

I want to thank you for your spiritual and financial support of this ministry.  Thank you so much for all that you have given and for the blessings that has brought us!

Affectionately,
Pastors Goyo and Maty, and family

Pastor Luis Vazquez
Centro Cristiano Cofradia Student Ministries
Maintenance Director
Cofradia Dwellings Director
Cofradia, Nayarit

I greet you in the love of God poured out on us through communion with Him.  I hope that you are well and enjoying the mercy of God that is new every day.  As a family, we are content with what God is doing in each of us.  Carolina and Angel completed the Freedom in Christ discipleship course that is offered every year in our local church, and this year Luis will be studying at the University in Tepic where Carolina has been studying the last three years.  We ask for your prayers, that they will both successfully complete their degree programs.

This year we will host EL RETO once again.  We are planning to begin September 1, and our theme will revolve around the concept of Choosing Truth since this is a deep need our time as the lies of the enemy seem to be prevailing.

At the end of last year and the beginning of this year, we built three Dwellings homes with the help of short-term missions teams, and it is exciting to see how the lives of these families are changed as a result.

We are teaching the Freedom in Christ discipleship course, and it has been a great blessing to see how the participants have begun to take ownership of their freedom in Christ. So far this year we have taught the course three times in three different churches and once in our own local church.  Other pastors we are friends with are requesting we teach the course for their churches as well, and it is exciting to partner in this endeavor with our teaching team.

We ask for your prayers for:
The planning and initiation of EL RETO, beginning September 1
The house we would like to buy
The ministry in general, and especailly the youth ministry, that they continue to commit themselves to the Truth
     Our marriage and family.

We thank you for your prayers for us and for the generosity you have shown us and continue to show us.  We pray for you as well.  Thank you, and we love you.

Sincerely,

Pastors Luis and Mari, and family

Brothers, it is with great pleasure I write this letter, first to express my deep desire for your health and wellbeing. María continues her diabetes treatment, but other than that we are all well. Martin is still living in the mountains, in the Mesa del Nayar, working with the youth there. We visited him in March and had the opportunity to help him with a four-day event in which the youth participated in various field day-style team competition games.  Members of other neighboring churches also participated, and we helped organize, and most importantly, present the Word during certain portions of the event.

Brothers, I also tell you with great pleasure that we taught the Freedom in Christ course in Arrayanes. For me this was a substantial teaching that led me to recover my identity in Christ, which has helped me significantly in my role as a church leader.

We continue to Las Ajuntas (Mojocuautla), a mountain village where two families have believed and welcome the Word the God. I continue to trust that God will do a great work and glorify His name there.  My desire is to see the male leaders there raised up and trained to continue the work of the gospel.

I also want to let you know that we will host an evangelism event in Los Arrayanes on June 30, the purpose of which is to strengthen those who already believe and to present Christ to those who do not.

I do not grow tired of thanking God for what He is doing in you as you continue to offer your financial support as well as your spiritual support and prayers.  I also thank God for the ministry He planted in these places, directed by wise and faithful leaders.  Thank you brothers!

Receive greetings from my wife, María, and our daughter, Kenia de Jesus, who God be praised will very soon complete her first year of high school.

Thank you brothers and sisters for your generous financial support.  May God bless you, and until we meet again,

Yours, with love,

Horacio y María
Thank you!

Martin Garzón
Missionary to Cora Indians
From Arrayanes, Nayarit
La Mesa del Nayar, Nayarit

To begin, I thank God for the privilege he has granted me to be working in the Mesa del Nayar, where we work with youth and children, many of whom have no father or mother.  We share devotional message daily in the morning and the afternoon with themes from Scripture they may relate to.  We also teach Bible studies to the youth and children, teaching them biblical history; at the end they make a craft that corresponds to the lesson they have just heard.  For this reason, a group of teachers was organized to give these regular lessons.

The youth who have received Christ are receiving discipleship training in order to deepen their lives in Christ so that they are prepared for every good work. We also host outreach events to attract more youth who do not yet know Christ, similar to EL RETO.  We did a mini RETO earlier this year and also a fellowship event.

One of the things we are praying for is to begin cell groups for the families of the youth who have come to know Christ, and that those youth will themselves be able to share the Word of God in those groups, since they know the Cora and Huichol languages better than us.  We believe God has raised up these youth for an important mission, and we are hopeful for good results.  To that end, we are also working in drama ministry, teaching the people a message from the Word through the medium of drama.

And this is a summary of all that I am doing with God’s help.

May God bless you!
Martin

Pastor Amado Verdin
Lead Pastor of Casa de Oración, La Hermosa
Director of Rehabilitation Center, El Faro de Esperanza
Rosamorada, Nayarit

My name is Amado Verdin Ramírez, and I am a mechanic by trade as well as the pastor of a small church, called Casa de Oración La Hermosa, in the town of Rosamorada. I work with my wife, Lourdes, and my children, Yessica and Abraham.

Our ministry began with a cell group in a small room at my auto repair shop.  Later, after being called to become pastors, we initiated our congregation under a tree in our repair shop patio. Now, we are using a borrowed space for our meetings and services.
Our initial cell group in the little room at my workshop.
Our very first service, under the tree in our patio.
One of our services in the borrowed space we currently occupy.
God has placed in us the calling to extend His Kingdom to all people, especially among addicts.  For this reason, the mission of the church is to build a restoration center so that we may see those suffering from addictions, restored to life by the Word of God, and reintegrated into society to becoming a benefit to the community.

So far we have a rented house, three bunk beds with mattresses, a stove, a refrigerator, blankets, and all the study materials that will be distributed to the residents.
The front of the rented house we will use for our restoration center.
Side view of the rented house.
Bunk beds
Courtyard of the rented house.
Training for how to distribute study materials to residents.
We are in the process of getting the permits required to legally operate the restoration center. And on July 14, we will host an intensive First Aid training course for all of the restoration center’s personnel.
We have already begun working with a family struggling with additions.
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.

Children Feeding Program Director
Centro Cristiano Arrayanes Facilitator
Rosamorada, Nayarit

We are the Uribe-Zavala family, of Rosamorada, Nayarit, and we work with underprivileged children. We teach them the Word of God one day a week, and following the lesson, we give them a small snack. Our plan is to do this multiple times a week, adding breakfast, but we have encountered several obstacles: the scarcity of food and the lack of adequate meeting space. For now, we gather in a borrowed courtyard shaded by trees.

Our vision is to acquire our own space with its own roof, enough chairs and tables, and enough cooking equipment to accomplish the work we desire to do with the children of our community. Our objective is to be firmly established in the community for the wellbeing of these children.

For now, I bid you farewell with my best regards and blessings.

Your brother and friend in Christ,
Pastor Frank and Family

Pastor Ruben Perez
Lead Pastor of Restauración y Vida Nueva
Church Plant Pastor in Mazatan, Nayarit
Las Varas, Nayarit

My name is Ruben Dario Perez Sandoval.  I am married to Carla Valeria Perez Barillas, and we have three children: Ruben, Hector, an Abigail.  Currently, we are the pastors of Restoration and New Life Church, located in Las Varas, Nayarit, Mexico. We also lead another group of believers in the town of Mazatan, Nayarit. My wife and I have been pastors for approximately six years.  Our vision is focused on the restoration of families and of marriages on the brink of divorce. We ourselves were once on the brink of divorce, and God restored us, and what could have been my greatest failure, today is my greatest victory.  For He restored us, and now we have the privilege of brining restoration to others.  Not just marriages, but our vision is to see children, youth, and adults who have suffered from all kinds of traumas or emotional wounds find restoration.  We want to raise them up and disciple them so that they may be leaders, sent out to fulfill their calling.

We have some property that was donated to us, and there we would like to build a center for restoration and discipleship for all those we desire to help.  The intention is to build retreat cabins suitable for couples, youth, children, and adults.  It will be a place where we not only minister to and help them, but also, after they are restored, raise them up and equip them in their ministry, helping them to discover what that ministry is and developing them to be leaders in it.

Psalm 147:3 is very meaningful for us and forms the foundation of our simple vision: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Blessings to you, and we invite you to join us in praying for our ministry here in Nayarit, Mexico.

Sincerely,
Pastor Ruben and Family

JUNE MINISTRY UPDATE

Greetings from Cofradia, Mexico! “Wow, my medicine is miraculous!” is what the Dr. said.  Last month, I shared with you a prayer request for David Medina, Isabel’s husband, who was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.  Less than a week after I sent the email, some of you were praying along with people from here.  One day, as they were praying for him, there was a popping sound in his abdomen.  He immediately felt better and his body has been discharging a “strange” substance since then.  He was bedridden.  I spent a whole day with him in the hospital last month and he could barely move because of the abdominal pain.  Well, he is no longer in pain; he can get up out of the bed by himself; he is just beginning to walk without a walker; Pastor Goyo has been driving him around town in the Nissan pickup as they pray for people.  His spirits are high, his color is back, and his legs are getting stronger.  The Doctor said, “Wow, my medicine is miraculous!”  We say, “Wow, our God is miraculous!”

GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!

Last month, we asked you to please pray for...

  1. David Medina.  See note above. :)
  2. Rebecka Thank you for your prayers!  Rebecka is out of school for the summer and did very well this year.
  3. Administrative Tasks. We’re still working towards getting this down.
  4. Freedom in Christ discipleship course.  What a tremendous time!  It’s incredible how God has been freeing people from the enemies lies.  Click here to see a quick report and testimonies
  5. Freedom in Christ Retreat. Thank you for covering us with your prayers.  During this time, the enemy tries to deceive us into believing the lie that we cannot be free.  We already have the victory in Christ and it’s up to us to take on that position.  We spent all day at the church as we prayed, repented, renounced, and declared God’s truth about us.  WOW!
  6. Happy Mother’s Day.  The mothers really enjoyed their day-retreat together and were able to see God’s hand work in their lives through circumstances that happened during the day.  Thank you for remembering them in prayer.
  7. La Iglesia Hermosa celebrated four years of meeting together.  One of the neatest things was that there were more than 10 local pastors and some of their congregation that joined them.  Not too often do you see that! :)
  8. Stateside Trip.  Please continue to pray and see note below.

Here are some links to more:

This month, will you please pray for...
  1. David Medina.  Please continue to pray for a complete healing.  His Urologist is going to go in and remove the remaining substance after a number of tests have been done.  Also, pray for strength in Isabel as she runs around trying to make appointments and make ends meat.  Thank you!
  2. Pastors’ Breakfast/Meeting We are meeting with some local pastors who have reached out to us for guidance and spiritual leadership.  We will be meeting to talk about our desires for our ministry, our responsibilities as Pastors, and our own vision of Raising up Leaders. (June 2)
  3. Mazatan and Las Varas.  Pastor Luis’ family and ours will be visiting a couple of congregations this weekend in Mazatan and Las Varas, Nayarit. (June 2-3).
  4. Women’s Ministry Geña and Isabel started visiting some of the women a while back.  They have been meeting with the women on Saturday mornings and the Lord is doing something special in them.  Women are being healed emotionally and there has been a renewed excitement for Christ.  Thank you to those of you who keep them in prayer.  Continue to pray as the Lord continues to do some cool things!
  5. Freedom in Christ Seminar. Another pastor has reached out to us to lead the Discipleship Course of Freedom in Christ in an intensive weekend seminar.  The pastor and a couple of his people are interested, but for the most part, his church is not showing as much interest.  Pray for our protection as we plan and share this seminar if it is to happen (June 7-9).
  6. Father’s Day, Congregation Day, and Baptisms.  We will have our quarterly celebration service as we invite churches and individuals in the surrounding areas (June 17)
  7. Stateside Trip.  In two weeks we leave for the states.  We will be heading north first through Arizona and arriving in Salt Lake City to visit The Well Church who has sent two teams in past couple of years and will be sending another one in November.  As we continue, we will visit friends in Twin Falls and the Tri-cities before reaching the Pacific Northwest.  Please contact us as time flies while we’re there.  We’d love to see you and will be in Washington State all of July.  We will return to Cofradia through Oregon and California at the beginning of August.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever!

Thank you so much for being part of our team as we work together to RAISE UP LEADERS IN RURAL MEXICO!!!!

FREEDOM IN CHRIST DISCIPLESHIP COURSE

For the past few months, we have been meeting together at the Arrayanes Church on Tuesday nights as we study the Freedom in Christ 13-week Discipleship Course.  Most of those who started finished...which has always been a struggle here.  In the end, the testimonies of how God worked in their lives is the confirmation of the message that this course shares.  It focuses on the key truths of our  Identity in Christ, what kind of battle we are in and how the enemy attacks us, breaking the bondages of our past as we learn to forgive and demolish strongholds that have been developed, and finally it finishes with key concepts of who to maintain our freedom as it is a daily process of maturity.

"I feel as light as a feather" is the most prominent testimony that people share.  Many people are carrying unneeded baggage in their life and don't even realize it because they haven't experienced life without it.

"It was really hard to forgive (so and so)" is another common testimony.  Forgiveness is heavily dealt with because unforgiveness causes so much harm.

"I'm able to sleep at night now" is another.

"This is very basic material, but it's shared from a different perspective that I've heard before and I am able to understand it better now; it's freeing."

God continues to work in our lives as we continue to help people find Freedom in Christ.
It's amazing!
It's freeing!

MAY MINISTRY UPDATE

Greetings from Cofradia, Mexico! I’ll start this out with a prayer request.  Some of you know Isabel from Mazatlan who lives in Cofradía and has been part of our ministry since the beginning in the 1990s.  Her husband, David, is very sick.  The doctors have told him he has prostate cancer and needs an operation.  Due to no insurance and an amazingly high cost for the procedure, they have not been able to do this.  His niece works for one of the insurance agencies and was just able to get him coverage last week.  This has been going on for months.  Tomorrow, Tuesday, he will go to see the doctor again; pending he is active in the system now.  Once he goes in, they will start from ground zero and take him in.  He is unable to walk, has lost his ability to stand and is numb in the pelvic area.  We spent some time with them last night at their house singing with the guitar and sharing from the Word.  David is encouraged.  This all started to happen just as soon as he decided to serve Jesus.  He is really excited about serving in the church and his and Isabel’s relationship has been the best it has ever been.  We are believing for a miracle.  Please believe with us!  They have a 12 year old boy, Josué.

GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!

Last month, we asked you to please pray for...

  1. David Medina.  Please continue to pray for a complete healing.  Thank you!
  2. Rebecka is doing really well in school.  Please remember to keep her in your prayers.
  3. Safe Travels from Washington to Cofradia last month.  Everything went smooth except a delay in LA due to some distraught passengers who were eventually dismissed from the plane.
  4. Administrative Tasks.  Please continue to pray for this.  We’re working on becoming authorized to receive tax-exempt donations.  All I need right now is time to work on this and help from our accountant.
  5. Freedom in Christ discipleship course  Please continue to pray for us as we teach each Tuesday night in Arrayanes.
  6. Emma’s 12th Birthday  We had a great day at the beach and some fun at home after school on her actual birthday.
  7. Parents’ 50th Wedding Anniversary  What an excellent time!  On April 12, they officially completed 50 years. :)
  8. Freedom in Christ Seminar  An incredible time with a number of new believers.  Read here to see what happened.

Coffee Resurrection

I BELIEVE IN THE RESURRECTION!
(Para español, desliza para abajo)

Without a doubt, Jesus Christ has risen from the dead!  He conquered death and reigns in victory!  If we abide in him and he in us, we also are victorious over any scheme and lie that Satan tries to throw at us!

Today, I want to share with you a different kind of resurrection!!!

Many of you saw my recent post on FaceBook about the death of our Espresso Maker.  Well, it's still broke.  The fact is, this is the fourth time it has broken (each occurrence being of a different piece).  The first two times where under warranty and I was able to get it fixed free of charge.  The third time I jimmy-rigged it by inserting a 2 ½ inch decking screw to function in the place of the broken piece.  It's not comfortable, but it worked!

So, this is the fourth time and I assumed that the piece that broke would be irreplaceable.  It is with great joy, excitement, and emotion that I can share with you that with a skinny little screw driver I can manually maneuver what the broken piece performed!

THE ESPRESSO MACHINE HAS BEEN RESURRECTED!!!!

(I'll still be saving up for a new one, this one will do until we get a new one)

Freedom in Christ - Tuxpan

Pastor Goyo, Pastor Luis, and I spent three days teaching an intensive course on Freedom in Christ with the Church of God congregation in Tuxpan, Nayarit.  Most of these believers are very new to the gospel and have been around the block!  With great enthusiasm, Pastor Abimael continued to encourage those attending and has done a great job as their Pastor.

With these new believers, some didn't know what to expect and expressed a nervousness and fear as we approached the sessions of going through the Steps to Freedom in Christ.  It was obvious that the enemy was at work.

As we always do, we separated the men and women.  In both groups, we experienced interesting circumstances.  There were many interruptions at the location where we met with the men, but we still sensed freeness in the atmosphere.  The women stayed at the church to walk through the steps.  They needed to stall a bit when they reached the point of renouncing past experiences with witchcraft.  One of the participants had been involved in such activity.  As she was renouncing these things, there was a cry that was heard and all of the sudden the door slammed shut.  One of the leaders continued with her until she was able to renounce all the activities in which she had been involved.

Amazing things are happening.  Every person who participates in this course expresses a sense of freedom and a realization of the lies they have believed about either themselves or God.  One woman said she felt like a feather.  We have found that the biggest obstacle that prevents believers from growing is unforgiveness in their life.  It's amazing what happens when one is able to forgive!

Thank you so much for praying for us as we continue to lead these seminars.  Pastors are continually asking us to come out to their church and teach.  Your prayers and support at this link are helping people find Freedom in Christ!

APRIL MINISTRY UPDATE

Greetings from WASHINGTON STATE! Yes, we are in Washington state, but fly out tomorrow morning to return to Cofradía.  We came up to surprise my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary and it was surely as surprise!  We arrived late Monday night and the expression on their faces was priceless.  We laid low for the week as we secretly helped my sister, Sheri, prepare for the party on Saturday.  It was a great and special occasion as family and friends came out to celebrate with us.  Thank you to all of you for making this day special.  Their actual wedding anniversary is April 12, but since the girls are on vacation from school, we came up early.

GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!

HE IS RISEN!!!

Last month, we asked you to please pray for...

  1. David Medina.  Please continue to lift David up in prayer as he undergoes more testing.  It looks like they have been able to get some kind of insurance for him; however, that is not confirmed.
  2. Rebecka Thank you for your continued prayers for Rebecka as she attends High School in a different town.
  3. EL RETO in La Mesa Martin said his event went great!  The kids all had a great time and he was able to continue teaching them about Jesus as his relationship with them strengthened through the event.  Thank you to those who gave and prayed.

Parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary

April 12, 1968  Gary and Marilyn Silberman were wed.

Saturday, March 31, we celebrated their 50 year anniversary with family and friends.  It was a very special occasion to hear people share about their experiences with them and I led them through their vows; it was the 4th time they've done that!

We appreciate all who were part of this, especially my sister, Sheri, for organizing it.  She did a great job.

No need for words.
"What are you doing here?"
Since we live in Mexico and do not get to see them often, we decided that the best gift we could give them was our presence.  We flew up unannounced on Monday and arrived at the house (thanks to my sister for picking us up at the airport) at 11:30pm.  It was a definite surprise for them and the look on their face was priceless.  We tried to relax for the next few days as the party was set for Saturday.  That was a surprise as well...nearing the time, they kept wondering what was up.

Blessings to them for their next 50 years!!

Kindergarten Spring Parade 2018

Wednesday afternoon, the Kindergarten classes of Cofradia held their anual parade for the Spring as they dressed up as a number of different things like butterflies, chickens, dogs, flowers, etc.  Mackenzie dressed up as a bunny.

They presented a couple of dances to everyone who was in the town center and then proceeded to parade through town in trucks as they waived and threw candy to the onlookers at their homes, most of the candy went to all the elementary kids who were following. :)

MARCH MINISTRY UPDATE

Greetings from Cofradía, Mexico! We just finished a three-day seminar on Freedom in Christ with Pastor Abimael’s congregation in Guadalupe Victoria, Nayarit.  It was a great time in spite of the long hours! :)  Now, we’re getting back into our daily routines as we catch up on a few immediate things and try to get some tasks done that have been waiting for a couple of months.  Thank you for your continued prayers over our family and ministry!

GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!

Last month, we asked you to please pray for...

  1. Administrative Tasks. Thank you for your prayers as we continue to work on these things.
  2. Cofradía Date Night.  We had another great evening with Doug and Jan Taylor as they spoke.  A number of churches were represented amongst the over 30 couples.  They also shared that weekend with our leaders, women, and on Sunday morning with the congregation.  Click here for a quick report and pics.
  3. Short-Term Missions The His Place Church team from Mount Vernon, Washington, did an excellent job helping us repair the roof to the church’s education wing.  They were a fun and amazing group!  Click here for the report.
  4. Freedom in Christ discipleship course.  We have just completed four of the 13 weeks of the discipleship course.  It has been going extremely well with over 30 people attending.  Pastor Goyo, Pastor Luis, and I are taking turns on the teachings.
  5. Freedom in Christ Seminar.  Thank you so much for your prayers over this seminar!  We had an excellent time and the Lord touched the lives of many of them as they became aware of some of the lies they have believed and how to break the strongholds the enemy has had on them.  We learn something new every time we share this message and it helps us grow as well.  We are excited for what God is doing and look forward to the next three day seminar in Tuxpan, Nayarit.  Click here to see a report.
Here are some links to more:
This month, will you please pray for...
  1. David Medina.  Many of you know Isabel who has worked with us for so many years and was on staff with us in the past.  Her husband, David, has been having some health complications and the Doctors are saying that it could be something very serious.  They do not have Health Insurance and are trying to see if he can get that before they move on.  In the meantime, we are doing our best to help him with Doctor visits, medications, and lab work.  Please pray first of all for a complete healing.  Than also that they will have success getting insurance as his issue could cost thousands of dollars.  Thank you!
  2. Rebecka as she continues to go to Tuxpan via taxi each day for High School.  Pray for her safety, godly friends, and wisdom in decision-making.
  3. EL RETO in La Mesa Martin Garzon, a young man who grew up in our church from Arrayanes, is living in the mountains working with the Cora Indians at an indigenous school as he teaches them the bible.  He is doing an excellent job!  This month, he is organizing a four-day RETO for the students there.  Please pray for safety, success, and that the Lord’s message would be heard through the outreach.  To help Martin with this event, you can give here; To support Martin as one of our missionaries, you can contribute here.
  4. Administrative Tasks. We are trying to get some things situated with our Civil Association in order to become authorized donor recipients which means people can donate money or materials for a tax deduction in Mexico.  This will open up many more doors of ministry and create a need for more personnel.  Thank you for your continued prayers!!!
  5. Freedom in Christ discipleship course.  Please continue to pray for us as we teach each Tuesday night in Arrayanes.  There are more than 30 participating and it is really exciting!
  6. Freedom in Christ Seminar.  Our next Seminar will be April 13 – 15 with Pastor Abimael’s Tuxpan, Nayarit, congregation.  We look forward to a great time learning and helping others find Freedom in Christ.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever!

Thank you so much for being part of our team as we work together to RAISE UP LEADERS IN RURAL MEXICO!!!!

Blessings,

Freedom in Christ Seminar in Guadalupe Victoria

For three days, Pastor Goyo, Pastor Luis, and I went to Guadalupe Victoria, Nayarit, to give a Seminar on Freedom in Christ with the brothers and sisters from Iglesia Maranatha.  It was a great time in spite of the long hours and commute.  We met some wonderful people and in the end, a couple were able to share how the Lord impacted their life through the talks.  Some experienced difficulties when it came time to renounce past sins so we THANK YOU very much for your prayers.  Your prayer covering for these seminars are so important!  We stand in Victory in Jesus and decide to believe the truth of His Word.  It was great to see that some testified on how they plan to break strongholds over the next few weeks.  It's a daily process as we continually need to "renew our mind" in Him (Romans 12:2).

Thanks again for your prayers!  Your contributions help make this possible in order for us to only charge for the material.
